The AmeriGlide Rave is an ultra-compact stair lift designed to make restoring accessibility to your multi-level home as convenient and easy as possible! Homeowners with exceptionally narrow stair cases will love the ultra-thin design of this stair lift. The lift unit takes up only slightly more than 11 inches when folded, allowing able-bodied housemates and guests optimal access to the stairs. The AmeriGlide Rave is built for durability, with a tough all-metal case construction that withstands normal wear-and-tear far better than other comparable stair lift brands. The powerful worm-rack system can safely transport up to 350 pounds of user weight, and an adjustable-height padded seat with durable folding arms ensures that you will remain comfortable during transit - the seat measures in at 19.5 inches wide and 14 inches deep.
The AmeriGlide Rave differs from many of our competitors' stair lift units in that the track attaches to the stairs themselves rather than the wall, and every point of contact uses a single bracket, making installation easier on homeowners and handymen. The Rave is compatible with any standard household power outlet, and the battery that powers the unit charges at the top or bottom of the track, providing a reserve of power that keeps your stair lift going even in the event of a power outage. An arm-mounted operation switch is included as a standard feature, along with AmeriGlide's standard array of safety switches that prevent the lift from operating if an obstruction blocks your path. The seat swivels at the top, away from the steps, so the rider can safely exit or enter the stair lift.

Pros totally efficient, ease of controls, safety factors are numerous, takes up virtually no room, fits my skinny steep stairs with ease, easy to self install, you get more that what you pay for:ie peace of mind and a feeling of freedom in your home. |
Cons just a little noisy but you soon ignore it especially with the elderly who are a little hard of hearing anyway. |
Service & Delivery excellent, i was told 7 to 10 days from ordering and it came in 10 days. |
anyone who has mobility issues or finds stairs cause anxiety should have one of these stair lifters, i have the RAVE and the quality is supurb and the cost is about 10% of bigger companies who install for you. i am recommending to all friends with 2 story houses. |

A Little About Myself 77 yr old with advanced emphysema |
Pros easy to use. comfortable. safety features solves our issues of having two sets of stairs. enables us to stay in our top floor bedroom instead of miving downstairs and will hopefully enable us to remain in our home for many more years |
Cons wish they came with a holder for the remotes (4) that could be attached to the wall. sticking the remotes to the wall puts them in a position that doesn't allow the beam/eye good access to the unit. they function much better when hand held but then i have no place to lleave them |

Pros Great benefit is that it can be installed by the buyer.
With the help of my son, we installed the stair lift in four hours. Based on prior measurements provided to the company, the track perfectly fit the stairway. |
Cons Based on some unclear steps in the installation manual,above average skills are necessary. |
Service & Delivery Outstanding. Actually arrived a day earlier than promised. |
This stair lift allows two very elderly people to remain in our home without being burdened with major home reconstruction or having move to another residence. We love it! |

Pros Compact, runs well, don't have to leave my home because of the stairs, excellent customer service (from Vince) |
Cons Warranty on parts but not on service, so if you are technically saavy could have some issues when something goes wrong. |
Service & Delivery Excellent service from Vince, (our sales rep) and delivery was ok. |
We have had some issues with the lift due to some parts breaking 6 months after I purchased it, however, the customer service provided by Vince has been outstanding and I am confident we will get the issue resolved and the chair back to it full glory soon. |

Pros Easy to use, made my life easier. I no longer hesitate to go downstairs. For some reason the plug was not plugged in when they installed a new dedicated outlet. It was a week before I noticed I was not plugged in and had no indication from the system that it was not plugged in. I make at least four round trips a day. |
Cons Can't think of any so far. It's been in service about one month. |
